Co-founder and CFO: Rahilla Younis, Championing Womenā€™s Self Defence.
Hi, I'm Rahilla, the co-founder and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Power For Women. My mission is to empower women with the essential skills to protect themselves in any situation, wherever they are in the world.Ā
I work within the NHS, where I have gained profound insights into the challenges women face. I've seen firsthand the resilience of nurses and the harsh realities they endure, leaving work late into the night and often facing aggression and physical attacks. These experiences have fuelled my determination to make self-defence knowledge accessible and actionable for all women and girls.
Having personally faced harassment in various environments, my drive is both personal and universal. I envision a future where women can lead safer lives through generations, armed with realistic and practical self-defence skills.
My long-term vision is to exponentially teach more women and girls and develop a network of capable female coaches who can propagate this vital knowledge. By instilling both the mindset and physical skills necessary for self-protection, I want to make a significant impact on reducing violence against women and girls (VAWG).
As the co-founder of Power For Women, I am deeply ingrained in this movement and proud to contribute to a cause that I believe in so passionately.
I am on a mission to ensure that every woman and girl knows how to defend themselves. Together, we can create a mindset and skillset that will empower us to live safer, more empowered lives. I can't wait to meet you somewhere on this journey!
Ā
Sincerely,Ā
Rahilla Younis.
